Letter to Dubya

Last night at dinner, Ellen had all sorts of questions about alternative fuels, asking if we could use oil from corn, or olives, or meat fat, or all sorts of other types of oils to power cars and house heating, etc. After dinner, she heads upstairs, and on her own wrote the following letter to George W. Bush. We did not do anything re: correcting, editing, or suggesting ideas. She handed this to us as is, and we'll be sending it on to Dubya:

------

Dear President George Bush,

After many disscusions with my family, I have come to the conclusion that rather than spend so much money on gas, we could make gas out of other sources! And instead of paying so much for electricity, we could pay a large fee once to get a windmill to power our lamps! Why don't we do that?

From,

Ellen Meyerson
Age 8
