Dreaming in parentheses

I'm asleep. A dream begins and I'm at work, with my coworkers. We're at a client and it's later and later, we're finishing up, and finally we're done and it's 4:30 AM. I decide I'll head home and stay up for the night, since it's so late and I have to be back at the client the next morning.

I head home, don't wake anyone, and get into my room (which isn't my room--I have no idea who's room it is, but I know that it wasn't mine). Deciding that the best place to stay awake and kill time is, of course, the bed, I sit, fully clothed and pick of an old pocket calculator, which, of course, I attempt to get online, wirelessly. *shrug*

So I'm sitting there and then I'm in bed, naked, next to my wife, when a woman walks in, also naked. This woman is Carol, and she was our real life neighbor about 8 years ago. She lived upstairs and had a...fulfulling sex life. I knew this because our bedroom was right under her bedroom and I can recall listening to her screaming in orgasm more times than I could count. Kim and I always laughed, but I know that for myself, at least, it was amazingly arousing. Anyway, there she is, coming in, climbing into bed, telling us how she's always wanted to be with us and getting right to it. We're in bed awhile, playing a bit, talking a bit, and then I'm awake.

But I'm not awake. I'm back in my room-that-is-not-my-room and I realize that the part about Carol was a dream.

And then I wake up. And it was all a dream. A dream in a dream. Shakespeare, I'm not, but this was odd.
